Charles Maurice Stam
Charles Maurice Stam, a resident of Houston, Texas, is of counsel to Bullock Legal Group. He represents plaintiffs nationwide in complex civil matters and has litigated or taken diverse catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death actions to trial.
Charles has experience handling matters in trucking, maritime, industrial, oil and gas, commercial, premises liability, road defects, products liability and civil rights litigation. Additionally, he has successfully represented governments in affirmative litigation to recover taxpayer funds from corporations.
Charles earned an undergraduate degree in history and political science from Columbia University, and obtained his law degree from the University of Texas, where he graduated with honors. While at UT, he served on the editorial board of The Review of Litigation and interned for United States District Judge Xavier Rodriguez. He has also clerked for United States District Chief Judge Debra M. Brown.
A member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Charles has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers (twice named Texas 40 under 40), Super Lawyers (thrice named a Texas Rising Star), Top Verdict (Top 20 Personal Injury Verdicts/Top 50 Verdicts in Texas 2021), and Avvo (10.0 “Superb”). He is on the Board of Directors of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Texas Bar College, the American Association for Justice, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, and the National Association of Premises Liability Attorneys.
In addition to being admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Charles is licensed to practice law in the state courts of and all federal district courts within Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Charles has endowed a scholarship in loving memory of his grandmother at the University of Texas School of Law.
